An interesting letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Binyamin Mendelson, Av Beit Din of Komemiyut, from 1941, when he was the rabbi of Kefar Ata (Kiryat Ata).
Rabbi Binyamin Mendelson (1904-1979) was born to his father Rabbi Menachem Mendel Mendelson who was one of the rabbis of Plock, Poland. In 1934, he immigrated to the Land of Israel with the encouragement of the Rebbe the "Imrei Emet" of Gur. He became the rabbi of Kefar Ata and later, the rabbi of the Haredi settlement Komemiyut. He acted for the observance of the Shemitah.
