Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Meshulam Roth to the Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Herzog. Bnei Berak, 1955.
An interesting letter in which Rabbi Roth addresses the matter of observing kashrut on the planes of "El Al". In addition, he offers his nomination as a member of the Chief Rabbinate. Other members of the Chief Rabbinate are mentioned, among them Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv.
Rabbi Meshulam Roth (1875-1963), "Gedol Ha'Dor" as he was called by the Ga'on of Tshebin was a Dayan and Moreh Halacha in Romania and then in the Land of Israel. He was a Dayan at the Beit Ha'Din Ha'Rabbani Ha'Gadol and a member of the Chief Rabbinate. He is the author of the "Kol Mevaser" Responsa.
