Letter from Rabbi Menachem Mendel Mendelson to Rabbi Eliyahu Sternbuch of Antwerp. The letter is about "introducing the idea of Mitzvat Ha'Shemitah" in the Land of Israel and Rabbi Mendelson's personal actions regarding the issue. 1996.
Long, typewritten letter (2 pp.) with the signature of Rabbi Mendelson at its end.
Immediately after the death of his father, Rabbi Binyamin Mendelson, in 1979, his son Rabbi Menachem Mendel was appointed the rabbi of Moshav Komemiyut and the president of "Keren Ha'Shvi'it". He was one of the major activists for observing the Shemitah among the Israeli farmers.
