Long responsum sent by R. Eliezer Deutsch to R. Moshe Sofer (Yad Sofer), son of R. Shimon Sofer (Hisorrerus Teshuva). With four lines following the responsum handwritten and signed by R. Eliezer Deutsch.
R. Eliezer Chaim Deutsch (1850-1915), served as Rav in Hanoshivitz and from 1897, in Bonyhad. He was one of the foremost Poskim in Hungary and his responsa were published under the title Pri Ha’Sadeh. Father-in-law of R. Yosef Schwartz of Grosswardein.
R. Moshe Sofer (1885-1944), was a talmid of the Da’as Sofer. He served as Rov in Erlau alongside his father R. Shimon Sofer until he was murdered by the Nazis in 1944. Father of R. Yochanan Sofer of Erlau.
