Prayers for the entire year based on the Ari rite, Part I is dedicated to the daily prayers. Chabad rite Siddur, with word definitions based on the Ari, Halachot and Hasidic essays by the Admor Ha-Zaken Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi. Edited by his son the Middle Admor Rabbi Dov-Ber. Kopys, 1816. First edition.
Includes: Sha'ar Ha-Tzitzit, Sha'ar Ha-Tefilin, Sha'ar Ha-Tefilah, Peirush Ha-Milot Al Pesukei De-Zimra, Sha'ar Keryat Shema [with the Kavanot of Keryat Shema based on Kabbalah], Sha'ar Ha-Talmud Torah, Seder Netilat Yadayim L-Seudah [with Hilchot Netilat Yadayim, who are like a"second edition" of the ones brought in the"Shulchan Aruch" Ha-Rav]. Sha'ar Birkat Ha-Mazon, Seder Birkot Ha-Nehenin, interpretations for weddings, Seder Ha-Mila, Seder Keryat Shema Al Ha-Mita and Seder Tikkun Hatzot.
With a foreword by [his son] the Middle Admor Rabbi Dov-Ber"on behalf of the rabbi author", who edited the Siddur and brought it to print. He writes:"I have compiled the Siddur using several booklets from copies I had, which were copied from manuscripts, and from numerous of my writing booklets¦ which were proof-read by the Admor of Liadi with great satisfaction". [The Halachic rulings mentioned in the Siddur are like a second edition of his Halachic opinion, they stand as basis of the Chabad customs up to present generation, see introduction of the"Piskei Ha-Siddur" by Rabbi Avraham Chaim Na'eh].
[The first 2 leaves have been restored], 104, 54 leaves. 20.5 cm. Fair condition: missing title page which has been replaced by a professional photocopy on antique paper. Half of leaf 2 has also been restored. The remainder of the book is worn and stained, the wear damage affects the text on some of the leaves. Rebound with a fine, new, semi-leather binding.
