Extensive Documents Archive – Jewish Theatre in Vienna and Vilnius – "Vilner Trupe"

More than 100 items related to the theatre groups "Vilner trupe" and Yidisher aktiarn-farayn" (Judischer Schauspieler-Verein) and to theatrical activities throughout Europe, Zagreb, Kishinev and Vienna, 1920s-30s.
A significant part of the documents is addressed to Moshe Schnotmann and to Moshe Schneidow or document their artistic activity. The archive contains:
Booklet for the 15th anniversary of "Vilner Trupe", Lodz, 1931 (illustration on the cover is signed: Brauner).* Nine promotional notices for theatre plays in Zagreb, 1930s.* Handwritten notebooks (compositions about theatre by Nachman Meisel, songs, plays, etc.).* 25 programs of theatre performances, Kishinev, 1920s (some are mounted in a notebook).* 15 programs of theatre performances in Vienna. * Notebook with Viennese newspapers cuttings reporting the theatre activity.* Draft of a play by Sholem Aleichem, stencil of a typewritten text with handwritten corrections.* Letter addresses to Moshe Schnotmann (Vienna, August, 1936).* Draft of a typewritten composition, addressed to Moshe Schneidow (Berlin, 1931) and additional letters to him.* Two portraits of Moris Schwartz in lithographic printing, with his handwritten dedications.* Letters from Ya'akov Kalik to Schneidow and additional items.
