A printed membership certificate, issued on behalf of a Jewish charity organization in the city of Cologne (Israelitisch Religiöser Wohltätigkeitsverein). The name of certificate holder, date (August 1918) and signature of the chairman of the organization were added by hand.
A German text in the center. An illustrated frame: Star of David on top, on the bottom- illustrations of two synagogues in Cologne. On the margins a verse “Naton titen lo…”(Deuteronomy, 15,10), in Hebrew and in German.
Leaf, ca.14.5X22.5 cm, pasted on heavy paper (partly detached). Good condition. Minor damages.
