Some sections bear titles in the Uzbek language (in Hebrew letters).
According to tradition, the roots of the Jewish community in Uzbekistan can be traced to the Babylonian exile. Kokand was a large and important city in the area. In the early 20th century, several Jewish families dwelled there and were dubbed "Kings of the cotton" due to their involvement in the cotton-processing industry. The Davidov family was among them. This manuscript was written at the time Uzbekistan was part of the USSR. During those years, all religious and Jewish activities were banned and no Hebrew press existed.
37 written pages. Thick chromo paper. Height: 14.5 cm. Width: 20 cm. Fair condition. Dark stains. Contemporary cardboard and leather binding, (new) colored strips of paper were pasted on its exterior.
