Halachic responsum handwritten and signed by R. Avraham son of R. Shmuel Meyuchas. [Jerusalem, early 18th century].
Author's autographic writing with additions and erasures. This responsum was printed (with many variations) in his book Sde HaAretz (Part 3, Livorno, 1798), Even HaEzer, Siman 2; Orach Chaim, Simanim 15-16.
R. Avraham Meyuchas (1699-1769), author of Sde HaAretz was a prominent Jerusalem Torah scholar and teacher of the Chida. Brother of the Rishon L'Zion Rabbi Refael Meyuchas and member of his Beit Din, author of Pri Ha'Adama. Outstanding Torah prodigy and lofty tsaddik, he was renowned for his piety and kabbalistic knowledge. Studied at the Beit Ya'akov - Ferrara Yeshiva, founded by the author of the Or HaChaim HaKadosh.
10 written pages, approx. 15 cm. Good condition. Slight worming affecting text, minor wear and stains. Elaborate leather binding.
