Second edition of the Amarot Tehorot commentary, (first printed in Warsaw in 1839). The first Hassidic commentary printed on Tehillim. By Rabbi Eliezer Ish Horowitz (died in 1806, Encyclopedia Le'Chassidut, Vol. 1, 257-259) Av Beit Din of Tarnogród, descended from the Shla, disciple of Rabbi Yechiel Michel of Zloczew and Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk and disciple-companion of the Chozeh of Lublin and the Magid of Koznitz. Author of No’am Megadim and Kevod HaTorah. (Missing the title page and two pages of the introduction) 4-219; 31 leaves (missing last leaf at the end of Seder Ma'amadot). 21 cm. Fair condition, wear, stains and worming. Ancient damaged binding with leather spine. Leaves 214-219 in this copy - index to Amarot Tehorot - do not appear in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book, no. 0305437. In Kedem Catalogue (Auction 14 Lot 91), is a copy of this edition of Tehillim with Seder Ma'amadot, without the index.
