Gur Aryeh of the Maharal of Prague, Shanghai, 1946 - An impressive dedication in the handwriting of the Tzaddik Rabbi Aryeh Levin.
Gur Aryeh. Commentary on the Rashi commentary on the Torah by Rabbi Yehuda Levai the son of Betzalel (the Maharal of Prague) Shanghai, 1946. Printing press of Lemberg edition 1858.
On the first page there is a dedication in a neat and impressive handwriting of Rabbi Aryeh Levin, a gift to R. Michal David Rozovsky, son of Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky, on the occasion of Bar Mitzvah. 
The Shanghai Jewish community was founded in 1844 by merchants, and during the Second World War tens of thousands of refugees who fled from occupied Europe, including many students from the Mir yeshiva, joined the community. .
