A long letter by Rabbi Avraham Kalmanovitz, Rosh Yeshiva of the Mir Yeshiva in the United States, 1952 - rare.
Letter from Rabbi Avraham Kalmanowitz to his relative. In the letter, Rabbi Kalmanowitz is interested in his welfare. December 1952.
Rabbi Avraham Kalmanovitch [1891-1964] Rabbi of Rakov from the age of 22, and then the rabbi of Takitin [Poland], a close associate of the Chafetz Chaim and Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky. In 1922 he was appointed president of the Mir Yeshiva. A leader of the Rescue Committee of the American Rabbinical Association and the head of the Mir Yeshiva in the United States He greatly assisted the Mir yeshiva, which Exiled during World War II to Shanghai.
