Approximately 540 medals, coins, plaques, medallions and pendants, mostly Israeli or with Jewish motifs. Israel, United States, Germany, Britain and elsewhere. 20th century (a few items from the late 19th century).
In the collection are about 100 Lira and Shekel coins in various denominations and special editions minted for events in the history of the Jewish people or different themes in its culture; medals struck by Israel's Coins and Medals Corp.; medals issued by the American Israeli Numismatic Association Inc., and other medals related to United States Jewry; medals commemorating dignitaries, among them Karl Marx, Albert Einstein, Chaim Weizmann and Golda Meir; Medals for different Independence Days; Medals commemorating IDF military accomplishments; medals issued by government, public and commercial entities commemorating events and special dates; medals and souvenir plaques from Israel; and more.
The collection also includes eleven gold medals (total weight: about 45 grams) minted by Israel's Coins and Medals Corp.: "Decade of Israel's Liberation", 1958 (from the first edition, with the year תל"א on the reverse); "Shema Israel", 1980; "Hundred Years of Settlement", 1982; "Resistance Struggle against the Nazis", 1983; "Exodus, the ship that won", 1987; "Wedding Anniversary", 1990 (medal set with a ruby stone); and more medals.
