Study of the customs of the different religions. Accompanied by 63 engraved plates (including an engraved title page; most engravings are folded). The first volume is partly devoted to Jewish customs in Amsterdam and includes a number of engravings depicting holidays and Jewish customs – the lifting of the Torah scroll in the synagogue, a Jewish wedding, a Purim celebration, and more.
Seven volumes, 22 cm. Good overall condition. Detached gathering in one of the volumes. A number of unopened pages. Some stains and tears, mostly to margins. Cardboard half leather bindings. Tears and blemishes to bindings.
