A unique edition of the book Apparatus ad Biblia Sacra by the French theologian Bernard Lamy, being an introduction or guide to the bible. The text in this edition is printed on 20 sheets, and organized mostly in tree diagrams. The sheets are dedicated to different subjects, among them, biblical figures, the Temple, the Jewish calendar and holidays, and more. On the sheet dedicated to the Temple appears a sketch of the interior of Solomon's temple. The text on each sheet is surrounded by an ornamental frame. The Initial letters are also ornamented.
The sheets, approx. 35X47 cm, are folded in two and bound together in a vellum binding (the book has to be turned 90 degrees when one wishes to read it).

Open tear to one leaf (affecting the frame). Vellum binding, with stains, blemishes and small tears. Inscription (old) on inside front binding.
