David Ben Gurion – Plaque with his Portrait and a Doll in his Image
1. Cast brass plaque with the portrait of Ben Gurion, made by Yehudah Hershkovitz. Israel, [ca. mid-20th century].
The caption "David Ben Gurion" appears below the portrait. Two suspension loops are fixed on the back of the plaque, marked "Made in Israel" and signed "Yehudah Hershkovitz".
11X15.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Corrosion.
2. A doll in the image of Ben Gurion, made by Yohanan Dolls. Israel, [late 20th century].
A plastic doll in the image of Ben Gurion wearing IDF uniform. The doll holds in its right hand a rolled piece of paper with the Independence Scroll. The doll can stand on its head and is marked (on the shoe sole) "Yohanan Dolls, Israel".
Height: 19.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains.
