Chassidut on the order of the weekly Torah portions, by the Admor Rabbi Meir Horowitz of Dzikov. Przemyśl, 1877-1878. First edition. 

Specifications: [2], 120; 88, [5] leaves, 24 cm. Two title pages. First edition. Stefansky, Chassidut 58. "A small foreword" is at the beginning of the book by his son and successor, the Admor Rabbi Yehoshua Horowitz of Dzikov, who published the book. 

Background: The author Rabbi Meir Horowitz [1819-1877] was the son of the Admor Rabbi Eliezer of Dzikov and grandson of Rabbi Naftali of Ropshitz. Served as rabbi and later as Admor of Dzikov, he was the in-law of the "Divrei Chaim" of Sanz. 

Unique Features: Pedigreed copy, on both title pages are stamps of Rabbi Nachum Dovber Friedman of Sadigura. The Admor Rabbi Menachem Dovber of Sadigura [1843-1883] owned a large library, and stamped the books according to their origins. The book before us is stamped 'minchat shai,' meaning that he received the book as a gift from his followers. 

Condition: Moderate. Brittle paper. Detached leaves. A few reinforcements. Slight tears in the white margins. Simple binding.
