Imrat Tzrufah. Student of the Chozeh of Lublin. Lvov, 1872. First Edition

Imrat Tzrufah. On the 613 commandments, and their allusions within the Ten Commandments' verses, through gematria and kabbalah. By Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Sokolov [student of the Chozeh of Lublin]. Lvov, 1872. First edition.

Specifications: [6], 111, [4] leaves. With all subscriber leaves. 25 cm. Stefansky Chassidut 62. Unique and interesting compilation.

The author, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch, was the Chozeh of Lublin's student and rabbi of Sokolov, Galicia. He passed away in 1816, and the great leaders of the generation urged his son Rabbi Pinchas Aryeh, rabbi of Turka, to print the book. He received approbations as early as 1816, among which are those of Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel of Tranpal, Rabbi Aryeh Leib of Lancut, and Rabbi Yitzchak Meir son of Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Apta, who wrote in his approbation that printing the book was dear to the heart of the author's son. However the book was printed by his grandson more than fifty years later, with the encouragement of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. Rabbi Chaim of Sanz writes in his approbation: "The great, righteous, and famous Rabbi, M'... Who was a great rabbi glorified among the greatest of the generation preceding us, when I heard the elderly speaking of his greatness then." There are also approbations from the author of HaShoel VeMashiv, the author of Heitev Lev, and Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Olaszliszka. About the author: Alfasi, Encyclopedia L'Chassidut, III, 609.
