A diverse archive of photographs and paper items belonging to the curator of the Jewish Museum in Vienna, Jakob Bronner, and to his family. Vienna and other cities in Europe, early-mid 20th century. German and some Hebrew.
The archive includes, among others:
* About 120 greetings (some handwritten on calling cards) sent to Bronner family members by acquaintances and personalities in Vienna.
* Two Guest-Books, with tens of handwritten dedications, some illustrated. Most are from the first decades of the 20th century, in Breslau.
* Ten notebooks written by hand (German), five are stamped with ink-stamps of Jakob Bronner, some about biblical matters, and others, apparently concerning other subjects.
* Three memorial books prepared for members of another family in Vienna, Epstein family, who died during the first decades of the 20th century. The books were printed in Vienna and are decorated with illustrations in color, with photographs of the deceased and with pasted newspaper clippings.
* 39 photographs (pasted to thick album leaves) which belonged to a soldier in World War II (most probably one of the family members) in different locations in Italy and Sicily. Some of the photographs are titled by hand on the back.
* Letters, postcards and other paper items from different periods and places (some from later years, in Israel).
Size and condition vary, fair overall condition.
