Letter from the Gaon Rabbi Shneur Kotler
Letter in the handwriting and with the signature of the gaon Rabbi Shneur Kotler. Tammuz 1979.
Interesting letter in which the gaon confirms that he received a donation to the yeshiva from the Rebbetzin Mrs. Baila Perlow, widow of the Admor of Novominsk, for the purpose of establishing a memorial plaque for the Admor ztz"l in his study in the study hall building. 'His great merit will stand for the Rebbetzin and her children - the rabbis, and the whole elevated Jewish family. May they merit continuing the great Torah dynasty on its path until the coming of the redeemer ...'
The gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Shneur Kotler [1918-1982], son of Rabbi Aharon Kotler, student of Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer and the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Zeev Soloveitchik of Brisk, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivat Lakewood in New Jersey and member of the Council of Torah Sages in the United States.
