Sepher Ha’Aruch [Talmudic lexicon]. Edited by Samuel d’Archivolti.

The Simcha Abraham Lindermann copy, with his extensive autograph marginalia throughout ff. 166. Some wear. Modern morocco, retaining earlier endpapers and inner covers. Folio. Vinograd, Venice 459.

Bragadini, Venice: 1553 (erroneously recorded, 1653).

The author of these scholarly marginal notes was Rabbi in Posen who wrote a commentary to the Aruch entitled Sarid Be’Arachin (Berlin, 1864) - cited here on f. 55b. The learned writer, whose extensive knowledge of Latin and Greek is evident throughout, records Rabbinic sources as well as scholarship from contemporary periodicals such as Hamagid and Monatsschrift. Most of Lindermann’s notes post-date the publication of his work and therefore are of particular interest.
