Halachic response written and signed by Rabbi Shmuel Kushelevitz.
Lengthy response regarding fulfilling the commandment to wear tzitzit with strings that were machine-spun. Does it make a difference if the person operating the machine concentrates on doing his work for the mitzvah ["leshma"]? This Torah giant compares this machine spinning to the working the leather and quotes ideas from the rishonim and achronim.
Rabbi Shmuel Kushelevitz was the son of Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Kushelevitz, author of Netivot Shmuel and Rosh Yeshiva of Torah Vodaas in Brooklyn, New York.
