Manuscript of the Kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer Author of "Kaf HaChaim" - Sermon for Tisha B'Av - Not Known
A manuscript of the Kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer author of the "Kaf HaChaim". In the title is written: "Darush LTisha B'Av". The sermon is unknown and was not published.
The manuscript includes quotes from the Talmud and Midrashim regarding the destruction of the Temple and the suffering of the Jewish people.

In of one of the leaves, the words "Ein Ya'akov" are written as a title - It is most likely that this sermon (Drasha) was supposed to be included in a book of sermons (Drashot) by the "Kaf Ha'Chaim". However, for various reasons, a book titled "Ein Ya'akov" by the "Kaf Ha'Chaim" was never published.

The Kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer (1870-1939), a native of Iraq, a student of Rabbi Abdallah Somech and Rabbi Yosef Chaim the author of the "Ben Ish Chai". One of the great sages of Iraq and Jerusalem and one of the greatest rulers of Jewish law, the author of the series of books "Kaf HaChaim". He spent all of his time learning Torah and writing his books in the attic of the "Shoshanim L'David" Synagogue in Jerusalem, which was founded by the "Ben Ish Chai". He wrote many books, amongst them "Chaim Ad Ha'Olam" about celebrations on the completion of tractates, "Kol Yaakov" - laws of scribes, "Chukei Chaim" - sermons for various times and "Yagel Yaakov" - novaelle on the Torah.

2 leaves, 3.5 pages. The original sermon took up 13 pages. Before us are the last pages of the sermon - on each page are complete topics which are not cut off.
21cm.
Condition: Good. On one of the pages is a blemish on the leaf with a small number of letters missing.
All the leaves in his handwriting that have appeared in auctions are from his halachic books. The leaves before us are from a sermon (Drasha). Extremely rare.
