Kofer Ha'Yeshuv was the name of a fund raising campaign to supply the Yeshuv security needs during the 1936-1938 riots. The campaign was initiated by the National Council and included indirect taxes and collection of donations. It was cancelled with the establishment of the State.
A. Booklet by Imanuel Ha'Russi and Nachum Gutman: "Ma Ze Kofer Ha'Yeshuv? Kol Kore Le'Bnei Ha'Neurim (What is Kofer Ha'Yeshuv? Public Appeal to our Youth). Hanukkak, 1940.
Rhymed booklet by Imanuel Ha'Russi with illustrations by Nachum Gutman. On the front cover appears the slogan of the campaign: "Kofer Ha'Yeshuv – Magen La'Kfar Ve'La'Sfar" (Kofer Ha'Yeshuv –Protecting the village and the border).
The poet Imanuel Ha'Russi, who was in charge of explaining the importance of Kofer Ha'Yeshuv, wrote a rhymed essay about the importance of Kofer Ha'Yeshuv to the building of the country. The essay also emphasizes the danger that faces the Jews of Europe.
Although the booklet was published before the destruction of the Jews in the camps, it contains expression such as "Knesset Yisrael is burning there is the clutches of the Diaspora". The booklet was given for free as an addendum to the newspaper "Davar".
