20th c. French Wooden Buffet a Deux Corps Cabinet
Large provincial French sideboard cabinet or buffet a deux corps in the style of Louis XVI, early to mid-20th century. The upper section with an arched cornice decorated with carved clusters of leaves and vines and a mirrored interior. With further carved floral and foliate motifs along lower doors.
Height: 80 in x width: 54 1/2 in x depth: 20 in.
Condition: There are no major cracks, splits, losses, or restorations. Some staining and discoloration to the wood throughout. There is only one peg securing the top of the cabinet to the bottom. One of the doors is slightly loose; there is warping to the wood. Some dust gathered throughout.
