Commentary of Abarbanel on Neviim Acharonim / Michlal Yofi / Margaliot Tovah – Three Books Printed in Amsterdam, 1641-1721
Three important books printed in Amsterdam, 1641-1721:
• Commentary on Neviim Acharonim, by Don Yitzchak Abarbanel. [Amsterdam, 1641].
• Michlal Yofi, commentaries and studies on grammar, on the Torah, Neviim and Ketuvim, by R. Shlomo ibn Melech, with Tosefet Leket Shichchah by R. Yaakov Abendana. Amsterdam, [1684-1685]. Signatures on both title pages: "Shlomo Avraham Rzechte". R. Shlomo Avraham Rzechte, the Gaon of Ozorków (1843-1928), a leading author of responsa in his generation. Additional signature on first title page. Many glosses in Latin on margins of some leaves.
• Margaliot Tovah, three supercommentaries on Ibn Ezra's Torah commentary, edited by R. Yekutiel Ashkenazi. Amsterdam, [1721]. First edition. Includes [1] last leaf with astronomical sketches (complete leaf, folded on margins; worming, affecting one illustration). Calligraphic signature on title page: "Yitzchak HaLevi" [possibly R. Yitzchak HaLevi of Gibraltar, author of Pat Lechem].
3 books. Size and condition Varies. Good to fair condition. Stains. Tears and open tears. Worming, affecting text. Old bindings, original.
