Abraham Carel Wertheim (1832-1897), Jewish-Dutch banker and philanthropist. Served as chairman of the Jewish community in Amsterdam, maintained contact with dozens of Jewish organizations and generously supported several theaters.
The book features dozens of obituaries, eulogies and lamentations which appeared in newspapers after his death and two photo plates, one with his portrait and the other with an illustration of a fountain in his memory.
Limited edition of 40 copies.
