A Haggadah, in Hebrew and Hungarian, illustrated by the Hungarian artist István Zádor (1882-1963). The text on each page is surrounded by an ornamented printed frame. The books contains 11 full-page illustrations and several text illustrations and initials.
This is Copy no. 180 of a limited edition of 300 copies signed by the illustrator.
The publication of the Haggadah was sponsored by Omike, "the Hungarian Jewish Educational Association", which was founded in 1910 and was a mainstay of the Hungarian Jewish community in the areas of culture and education until 1944.
115, [1] pages, 26.5 cm. Contemporary binding, with leather spine and corners. Gilt embossment on front cover. Good condition. Stains (mostly light). Pen numbering on endpapers. Some stains and damages to binding. Peeling and small tears to spine and corners of binding.
Several pages bear ownership stamps (Ex Libris Rav Frieder) and a handwritten dedication from 1925 appears on Page 2.
