Meir Gur-Arie, Sketch for the book "Ovdan HaIr Kisalon, Sipur Amami Mesupar al yede M. [Mordechai] Narkiss" [The Destruction of Kisalon, a folk tale, told by M. Narkiss].

The sketch includes two watercolor illustrations, signed by Gur-Arie (cover and inner page), title page (not illustrated), written in ink, and additional sketches in pencil.
The town of Kisalon is mentioned in the Bible as a town in the territory of the tribe of Yehudah: "And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon" (Joshua 15:10) as well as in the writings of Mendele Mocher Sfarim.
