Two sections of the "Shevut Ya'akov" books, responsa on the four parts of Shulchan Aruch, with the booklet 'Pe'er ya'akov', novellae on the Talmud (at the end of section A) and the booklet 'Torat Ha'Shlamim' (at the end of section B). by Rabbi Ya'akov Reischer. With approbations by Rabbi David Oppenheim and more.
Two nice, decorated title pages.
Two ownership signatures in Ashkenazic scripts on the title pages of the two sections: "Yechiel Dov Friedman Av Beit Din of Nakel [Poland]". "Belongs to me … Akiva …(Bresler?)".
A large number of scholarly glosses from the time of printing, some of them long, indicating that their writer was a Torah scholar.
Section A: [2], 81, 13 leaves. The last two leaves have professionally restored tears with a handwritten filling-in of the missing letters. Printed in Halle 1709.
Section B: 60, 10, 13 leaves. The margins of several pages at the end of the book are cut with no damage to text, yet with slight omission of the long handwritten glosses. (this section was most likely also printed in 1709).
Condition: Very Good. Time stains. A hole in one of the pages with almost no omission.
