Letter from Rabbi Yosef Asher Halevy Pollack, Av Beis Din of Verpelét, 1934.
Handwritten and signed letter of recommendation for his student, Binyamin Ephraim Mendel of Gyongos. The letter ends with a request from the Rabbi of Jerusalem, to pray for him and his wife, the Rabbetzin Slava bas Esther, that they be blessed with children.
Rabbi Yosef Asher Halevy Pollack (1898-1944) was the son of Rabbi Avraham, the Av Beis Din of Uhely and was a student of the Daat Sofer and the son-in-law of Rabbi Yehuda Altman of Mezőcsát. Rabbi Yosef wrote She’eris Yosef Asher. He perished in the Holocaust.
