Original Italian amulet. Silver, filigree. Italy, 18th–19th century
Large silver amulet crafted from silver in delicate and high-quality filigree work.

At the center of the amulet is a small oval door bearing the letters Shin–Dalet–Yud. The door opens on an upper hinge, revealing a compartment for housing the amulet (typically a rolled parchment inscribed in purity with sacred names in ink). On the reverse side is a Star of David design. Surrounding it is beautiful Italian-style filigree work. At the top on both sides is a crown, with a hanging loop above.

Length: 9.5 cm. Width: 7 cm. Thickness: 1.5 cm.
Good–very good condition. Minor dents.
