Chassidic Essays Handwritten by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Shneersohn, Author of Tzemach Tzeddek

Chassidic essays for the Torah portion Ekev, handwritten by the Admo"r of Lubavitch, the author of Tzemach Tzeddek. These Torah thoughts were printed in the book Ohr HaTorah.

1 leaf, written on both sides [2 pages].31-33 lines per page. 17x23 cm.

The Admo"r the gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Shneersohn, author of Tzemach Tzeddek of Lubavitch, was the third Admo"r of the Chaba"d dynasty. He was born in 1789 to his father Rabbi Shlalom Shachna and to his mother, the daughter of the Alter Rebbe, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, author of Tanya. He was orphaned of his mother at three years old, and from then was raised and educated as a beloved son in the home of his grandfather, the Ba'al HaTanya, and his hand did not move from his grandfather's hand for many years. He was the son-in-law of his uncle, the "Mittler Rebbe," Rabbi Dov Ber Schneersohn, and after his father-in-law's passing in 1828, he began leading Chaba"d Chassidism, which continued almost 40 years. He was one of the leaders of his generation, emphatically opposing the maskilim, and was admired by all rabbinic leaders.

Fine condition. Blemishes in the white margins without damage to text.
