Deluxe volume with books of the Prophets and Writings: Chronicles, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah and the Book of the Twelve. Separate title page for the main works (Chronicles, Daniel and the Book of the Twelve). The other books have an illustrated, bordered initial word. Illustrated title pages written in Hebrew and Latin. The printer's name and print location and year appear only in Daniel and the Book of the Twelve. This is a beautiful, important edition of the Tanach in a small format, printed in Paris in 1544-1546, by Robertus Stephanus, the "Royal Typographer." Decorated, gilt edges. Elegant leather binding with gold embossing.

Very fine condition except for chafing and light wear and tear to the binding, primarily at the edges.
