Handwritten Glosses on Ein Ya'akov with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto's Commentary
Handwritten glosses on the sheets of Sefer Ein Ya'akov with the Meor Einayim commentary by Kabbalist Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, known as Peirush HaRi"f al HaEin Ya'akov. Venice, 1643.
The sheet's margins bear several handwritten glosses in antique script, some based on Rabbi Pinto's words. Owner's signature on page 34a: "This is my book, Tola'at Ya'akov Zein." He may be from the family of the gaon Rabbi Yehoshua Zein (1670-1839), author of Perach Sasson, one of the leading sages in Egypt at the beginning of the 18th century.
Incomplete copy - lacking at both the beginning and the end [with leaves 14-118 of 190].
Moderate condition. Aging and damp stains. Worming perforations. Tears. Simple binding.
