Letter from Rav Avraham Elkalai, author of "Zchor L'Avraham"
Handwritten letter of the Gaon Rav Avraham Elkalai, famous for his sefer "Zchor L'Avraham" on the Shulchan Aruch.
Rav Avraham ben Rav Shmuel Elkalai of the sages of Salonika. Famous for his sefer "Zchor L'Avraham" which was greatly accepted and was printed a number of times. He served as Rav of Dubnica, Bulgaria. In year 5570 he made Aliya to Eretz Yisrael and resided in Tzefat, where he passed away on the sixth of Adar, 5571.
The letter is written in Ladino. It was removed from the binding of a book- condition: accordingly.
