Glicenstein - Rare Catalog of Drawings - 1953

Glicenstein Museum, Safed, 2013.

A very rare and modest catalog, containing four drawings by Hanoch Glicenstein, including an "autoportrait". Each drawing on a full page.The booklet also includes a text by Jean Cassou, director of the Museum of Modern Art in Paris. Hanoch Henrik (Enrico) Glicenstein (1870-1942) was a Polish-born Jewish sculptor who lived in Italy and the United States. Known mainly for his figurative sculptures and engravings, his works are in the collections of major museums in the world. The Glicenstein Museum was established in Safed, and later became the Bible Museum.
