Letter from Isaac Goldberg "The Unknown Benefactor" to Alter Druyanov - 1919
A letter from Isaac Lieb Goldberg, a Lithuanian Zionist philanthropist and activist nicknamed the "unknown benefactor" who founded the Goldberg Orchards near Tel Aviv and the Goldberg Farm in Hartov. He was also a publisher, among other things, of "Haaretz", one of the founders of the Achiasaf company, and Bialik a poem about him. This letter is written on the official paper of the farm in Hartov and is addressed to the writer Alter Druyanov: "To my dear friend Mr. Druyanov! ", Goldberg wrote. He scolds his friend for not hearing from him for a long time and says that he intends to travel and take his family out of Russia and arrive in Israel where he hopes to see him. At the end, he asks Druyanov to give his bests to Bialik and Rabintzky. Also attached is a letter in Russian, from the same year and on the same type of paper, which we have not been able to decipher.
