Sefer Mar’eh Kohen on tractate Zevachim, with elucidation of the Rambam’s rulings, by Rabbi Yehuda Katz, a Dayan from Leszno. Beyar Hoffir Press, Frankfurt am Main, 1776. First edition.
On the inside of the cover is a handwritten letter, recommending this Sefer which includes “sweet and pleasant things, based on truth and justice”.
With a few short handwritten glosses. The Sefer has many approbations from the Gedolim of that generation, including the Gaon Rabbi Shaul (Levinstam) of Amsterdam and the Gaon Maran Rabbi Yosef Theumim, author of “Pri Megadim”.
