This is the second edition of this Sefer. The first edition, however, the Venice ca. 1590 edition was originally incomplete.
The great Rav Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Azulai, the Chida [1724-1806]. From the leading Geonim of the nation, prolific author, holy and genius, exalted and revered. Famed for his travels and journeys. Glorified wherever his word reached. Among Tzaddikim, it is known that studying his Seforim is most beneficial to achieve loftiness of the soul, Yiras Shamayim and closeness to Hashem.
The Gaon Rabbi Chaim ben Rabbi Yaakov Abulafia (1660-1744) Charity emmisery and Av Beis Din of Tzfas, Izmir and Tveriah. One of the renewers of the Jewish Yishuv of Tveriah. Author of "Yosef Lekach" and "Etz Chaim" on the Torah and "Yashresh Yaakov" and "Shvut Yaakov" on Ein Yaakov, as well as other Seforim. Was a disciple of Rabbi Moshe Galanti (the Second) at the Beis Yaakov Yeshiva of Jerusalem, where he studied together with the author of the "Pri Chadas", rabbi Chizkiyahu di-Silva
