Postcard of Greetings Handwritten by the Divrei Shmuel of Slonim

Postcard of greetings handwritten by the Admor the holy Rav the Divrei Shmuel of Slonim - to his brother Rabbi Noah Weinberg of Tiberius.

In this postcard of greetings, the Divrei Shmuel of Slonim writes to his brother, Rabbi Noah: "ואו"ש [=ואומר שלום] לאהו"נ [=לאהוב נפשי] אחי מחמדי היקר... ביתך יתן השי"ת להצלחה... לאורך ימים והתחזק נא... יחד וקוה אל ה'... עליך כטו"ס, ש"ב שמואל ברמ"א".

The Admor Rabbi Shmuel Weinberg of Slonim, author of the Divrei Shmuel (1850-1916) the grandson and leading disciple of the Yesod HaAvodah of Slonim. Became the leader of his community in 1884. For most of his life, he dedicated himself to raising funds for the Slonim Chassidim of Tiberius. In 1900, he founded the Or Torah Yeshiva in Tiberius, which was headed by his leading disciple the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Moshe Kliers, Av Beis Din of Tiberius, the author of Torat HaAretz. Was one of the founders of Agudas Yisroel in 1912.

The addressee of the postcard, Rabbi Noah Weinberg, was the only brother of the Divrei Shmuel of Slonim. In ca. 1870 he was sent by his grandfather, the author of Yessod HaAvodah, to the Holy Land, accompanied by his brother, the Divrei Shmuel (who was fifteen years older than him) who then returned to his home in Slonim.

The letter is cut in its left, affecting the text.
