Four signed documents that were written at the Beis Din of Ittingen (south-Germany) during the years 1777-1788 - signatures of the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Katznelboigen-Ittinger Av Beis Din of Ittingen and Metz.
These are four documents on monetary matters pertaining to Rabbi Yaakov Kopel ben Rabbi Yehuda Leib. Three of them are the last Will and Testament that were written, changed and re-edited over the years. One of them is a document dealing with the estate of one of the residents of Ittingen, the aforementioned Rabbi Yaakov being its executor.
Rabbi Yaakov Katznelboigen Av Beis Din of Ittingen signed two of these last Wills.
The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Katznebloigen-Ittinger (passed away in 1795) was the son of the famed kabbalist Rabbi Pinchas katznelboigen, the author of Yesh Manchilin. Was the disciple of the Pnei Yehoshua and of Rabbi Avraham Broda (when he was Av Beis Din of Frankfurt am Main). In 1764 was appromited Rav of Ittingen and the vicinity. Was the first to discover that Shut Besamim Rosh was bot by the Rosh.
