Sefer HaIkarim by Rabbi Yosef Albo, with the Etz Shatul elucidation by Rabbi Gedalya Lifshitz.
On the title page, the handwritten signature of Maran the holy Rav the Imrei Emes of Ger 'Belongs to Avraham Mordechai Alter of Ger'. The signature seems very early.
Important ownership stamps from the period.
Venice, 1618. Johanno Keune press. Contains a poem by Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh of Modena. Approbations by the author of the Olelot Ephraim and the holy Shelah.
The holy Rav the Imrei Emes of Ger [1866-1948] the son of the holy Rav the Sefas Emes of Ger. The leader of Polish Jewry who had thousands of followers. Established Agudas Yisroel, Beis Yaakov and thousands of Talmudei Torah. Supported and developed the study of the Daf Yomi. Immigrated to Jerusalem and lived there for eight years.
146 leaves. Considerable wear and water damage, mainly to the first leaves. Moth perforations. Original binding, detached. fair-good condition.
