Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Dov Aryeh Ritter Av Beis Din of Rotterdam - who discovered the forgery of the Yerushalmi Kodashim - to the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, the Rav of Jerusalem, detailing the donations to the institutions of Jerusalem and Kimcha DePischa. 1927.
The letter, which was handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Ritter, to "the Gaon Rav Tzaddik and Chassid Maran Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld", he notes the institutions he wishes to support.
The great Gaon Rabbi Dov Aryeh Ritter Av Beis Din of Rotterdam [1855-1936] one of the leading Poskim of Holland. He was the one who discovered, due to his genius, the famed forgery of the Yerushalmi Kodashim and then had a correspondence on the matter with the leading rabbis and Poskim of Poland and Galicia.
[1] lined leaf, handwritten and signed by him and with his stamp. A stamp of Badatz Rotterdam on verso of the leaf. Water damage caused the ink to fade in some places. Good condition.
