Before us is testimony of the distribution of funds that were sent from the Diaspora to the members of the old Yishuv, which Rabbi Shmuel Salant was in charge of. It should be noted that the receipt was written several months after Rabbi Shmuel Salant's passing (in Av 1909) and around the word 'Shalita' Rabbi Bahran added parentheses and wrote 'זצ"ל' in addition he corrected the printed words 'I have received by' to 'was sent in the name of'.
