[Life guards Combined Cossack regiment — the guards Cossack regiment, which gathered representatives of the Cossack troops that were absent from other guards Cossack regiments (in particular, they included a hundred of the Orenburg Cossack troops): the life guards Cossack and Ataman regiments (don Cossack army) and His Imperial Majesty's own convoy (Kuban and Tersk Cossack troops). A special feature of the regiment was the lack of a single regimental uniform-representatives of each Cossack army wore uniforms with elements and distinctions assigned to these troops. The Cossacks of the regiment carried out part of the measures to protect the Emperor in the convoy during movements, including when he was traveling with his family.

Regimental holiday: April 6, the day of St.Eutychius.

The Cossack barracks were located at the corner of Karavannaya street and Manezhnaya square (next to Mikhailovsky Manege). The building, which housed the barracks and the Church of the life guards of the Combined Cossack regiment, was reconstructed in the 20s of the XIX century, designed by architect K. I. Rossi. The Siberian fifty was stationed in Pavlovsk near Saint Petersburg.

The regiment took part in the Warsaw-Ivangorod, Lodz, and in Prednisoneeoi operations and in combat operations in the area of the Hill, was to convoy the Supreme Commander; participated in inter-district operations and in the battles on the river Stokhid.

In August 1919, in Omsk, at the headquarters of the Siberian Cossack corps, a Separate Ataman hundred was formed from the Cossacks who had previously served in the life guards Combined Cossack regiment. This hundred under the command of podesaul S. A. Ogarkov distinguished themselves on September 9, 1919 in the battles with the Reds at the village of Presnovskaya on the Eastern front. S. A. Ogarkov received the order of St. George, 4th degree, from the hands of the Supreme Commander of the Russian Army, Admiral A.V. Kolchak. Two fighters from this hundred also received St. George's crosses. In January 1920, after the retreat of the white units from Omsk, the hundred actually ceased to exist.]
