Oil on canvas, measurements: 96 x 74 cm, measurements with frame: 104 x 116 cm. Rigoberto Soler Pérez, Alcoy (1896) – Valencia (1968) Maximum exponent of Mediterranean luminism at the beginning of the century. Artist and painter from Alcoy. He trained at the School of Arts and Crafts of Valencia and the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos. Upon finishing his studies he moved to Barcelona where he continued his training with the painter José Mongrell, who was one of his main influences along with Cebrián Mezquida, Isidro Garnelo and Joaquín Sorolla. With the inauguration of this permanent exhibition, Don Juan Escrig Zamora, President of the Board of Trustees of Fundación Mutua Levante, expressed his gratitude to Don Vicente Boronat Vercet for the donation of the collection of 20 drawings by Rigoberto Soler, of which this sample was exhibited at at the same time he thanked his efforts as the main promoter of the creation of the Mutua Levante Foundation. Provenance: important Andalusian private collection.
