Rabbi Hirsch (1808-1888) fought valiantly against the Reform movement in Germany, against the Enlightenment and assimilation. He upheld the orthodox traditions for the Adas Yeshurun Community of Frankfurt am Main. Rabbi Hirsch wrote prolifically on topics of guidance and philosophy to strenthen the youth. His outlook become a cornerstone for Torah education and outlook for German Jewry.
