Found on the cover page is the stamp of Rabbi Chaim ben Menashe Sathun of Safed.
Rabbi Chaim Sathun (1871-1918). His father Rabbi Menashe Matlev Sathun, ascended from Aram Tzova and Safed. In the year 1876 when he passed away, then his son learned in the Talmud Torah of Ashkenazim in Safed and later learned by the Sefaradi scholars of the city. In the year 1902 he was appointed as Rav of the city of Safed, but gave it up to continue his Torah learning with much devotion. When he turned 35 he finished writing his sefer 'Eretz HaChaim' which conveys the customs of Eretz Yirael Israel. During the times of WWI, he suffered from poverty and hunger, even in these bitter and hard situations he continued with much devoutness to learn Torah until he fell sick with typhus and passed away on the 6th day of Iyar 1916 (or 6th of Adar 1918).

Stained, few moth holes, general condition good.
