"Beloved Sevens" Letter Signed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe. 2 Adar, 1973
Lengthy and important letter from the Admo"r of Lubavitch to Rabbi Moshe Yitzchak. 2 Adar, 1973. Brooklyn, New York.
The letter was sent in the midst of the shemittah year - the seventh year. In this letter, the Rebbe summarizes all the holidays of that year, in Judaism in general and those specific to Chassidism (Rosh HaShanah, Rosh Chodesh of the leap-month, Shabbat Day, 19 Kislev) and connects them to the number 7 - a very significant number in Chassidic doctrine. As is known, all discourse by Torah scholars needs study, and even their mundane discussion. However, this letter before us is a true Chassidic essay, which demands intensive study.
It appears that the Rebbe himself related to this letter with the great importance of a Chassidic essay, as he uncommonly leaves it without the addition of punctuation marks after its printing, as in his other letters. Apparently, this letter was printed only after special proofreading.
To complete the matter, we will note that the Rebbe himself - 'The Seventh Nasi' - was also among the 'Beloved Sevens.'

[1] official stationery paper. 28 cm. The letter was typewritten, and signed by the Rebbe at the end; very fine condition. Fold marks.
